FAQs

What areas do you cover?

I’m based in Edinburgh and work across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and surrounding areas. Travel fees apply for locations outside a 10-mile radius of Edinburgh.

When should I have a hair/makeup trial?

I usually recommend a trial 2-4 months before the wedding date. Usually by this time Bride's have their dress, colour themes, flower ideas which can  help with choosing the hair style and makeup ideas. However it can be any time that works best for you. Trials are carried out from my home studio in the Braids, South Edinburgh.

What is the maximum number of hairs/makeups that you can do on the wedding day?

I can usually accommodate up to 6 services on the wedding day, depending on the time of your ceremony and the schedule for the morning. If your bridal party requires more services, I can recommend other hair and makeup artists.

When should I wash my hair for the trial or wedding day?

I prefer to work with clean, dry hair ready for styling. I recommend washing your hair the day or night before, or on the morning of the event if your hair tends to get oily quickly. We can discuss the best option for your hair type during the trial.

What is your makeup and hair styling approach?

My approach is all about enhancing your natural beauty to create a radiant, elegant look that feels like the best version of you. I specialise in natural bridal makeup and timeless hairstyles that are perfectly tailored to your features, style, and preferences.

How far in advance should I book my wedding date?

I recommend booking as soon as you have your date confirmed, especially if your wedding is during peak season (April–September). Many Brides book 12–18 months in advance to secure their date.

How long will hair and makeup take on the wedding day?

Timing depends on the size of your Bridal party, time of the wedding ceremony and when you are leaving. For the Bride’s hair and makeup, I typically allow around 2 hours. For Bridal party members, I allocate about 45–60 minutes per person. For hair styling it depends on the hair length, type and style required. I’ll work with you to create a schedule that ensures everyone is ready on time and the morning runs smoothly.

How do I secure my wedding date?

To secure your wedding date, I require a signed booking form and a non-refundable deposit. Once both are received, your date is confirmed. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding day.

How do I make my hair and makeup last all day?

I use high quality products in my kit and techniques to ensure your look stays flawless throughout the day. I gift a small bag for makeup touch ups during the day to the Bride and a lipstick /foundation sample for the Bridal Party.
